Bright RP collects only the information needed to authenticate members, operate community features, and protect the platform.
Information we collect
When you sign in, Discord provides your user ID, display name, avatar, Bright RP membership, and role identifiers. We store forum content, applications, votes, reports, moderation actions, and security session data.
How we use it
We use this information to prevent impersonation, enforce staff permissions, operate voting and applications, moderate community content, investigate abuse, and maintain service security.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. Your Discord password is never shared with or stored by Bright RP. The OAuth client secret belongs to the site, not to members.
Retention and deletion
Sessions expire automatically. Community records are retained while operationally necessary. You may request account-content deletion through Bright RP support, subject to legitimate moderation and security record requirements.
Sharing and security
Data is processed by Discord and the infrastructure hosting this website. Access is limited by role, and sensitive credentials are stored as protected runtime secrets.
